Small Business Support
The purpose of this Small Business Relief Program is to provide support for businesses in Somerset, Ohio affected by the severe business interruption caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

To be eligible businesses must have 30 or fewer employees and be based within the city limits of Somerset. Eligible small businesses may apply for up to $3,000 in grant funds to be used for the reimbursement of eligible expenses.
Who can apply?

Qualified applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Businesses must have been impacted by the state-mandated closures that began March 15th
- Businesses must be located in Somerset and be in operation prior to February 15, 2020
- Annual gross receipts of the business preferred to be less than $2,000,000
- Businesses must be in good standing with local, state, and federal jurisdictions in regard to taxes

How can funds be used?
- Eligible expenses must be related to costs of business interruptions caused by required closures
- Requests must be for business funds already spent on qualified expenses that have not been
paid for with other government funds (e.g. EIDL or PPP)
- Eligible costs include: payroll expenses; lease or mortgage expenses; certain operational
expenses; supplies related to interruption of the business due to required closures;
unemployment/employee leave costs directly related to COVID-19; PPE or other COVID-19
costs.
In addition to offering grants, funders participating in the Resilience Fund are available to provide support before grant applications are filed and following awards. Potential applicants and grant winners can receive referrals to business support offices that provide training and guidance with planning, financing, marketing, and other business activities from the funders’ professional staff at no charge.
